Day 31 - Trois Riviéres - Day 8

Our trip to the welding shop was a success! It was a full shop and they sold tires too so we now have a brand new pair on the trailer. The two old tires were worn smooth on the inside edges. I think we have some kind of alignment issue. The tires cost $145 each and the welding $50. Yes, I do think we paid too much for the tires but you try shopping around tire shops in Trois Riviéres with my level of French!
It’s all good. The trailer is done. Jenny even picked up a new faucet from Canadian Tire last week and that's installed now so we are almost ready to move on. The van is booked in to Canadian Tire for a full inspection tomorrow morning. I’m a bit worried about how much we used the brakes coming through the Rockies especially with the weight of the trailer behind us. Let’s see how that pans out. Neuveax frier, deux mille dollar!?Non probleme!
No news on the bike front. We have not heard back from anyone on Kijiji. Maybe my 778 cell phone number is freaking people out because it will probably be long distance.
I missed the first 3/4hr of class this morning. We are still learning genders. Today I found out what countries are male and which are female. Who decides this? Is there equality in the world? Are there as many male as female countries? Do the countries decide for themselves or does France decide for them?  Why is Tchad male and Ensuisse female? Does the gender transfer to other languages? Someone, please let me know?
Any-who, this afternoon we had a field trip to the local jail and a jail museum. I decided to stay behind and have a nap. Great idea for me! Jenny went on the trip and she said it was tres bazzare! The museum contained a collection of records of weird and macabre murders in Quebec. I think Jenny may have nightmares tonight. It could get hot tonight if she locks all the windows!

I just updated our expenses for week 4. Still looking good. The welding a tire costs won't show up till next week.

I never thought about it before but in German we also have countries which are neuter, female and male. Iraq for example is male, Ivory Coast is female and Germany is neuter...weird! But why.....no idea!

As with most issues involving gender differences....confusing! Don't try to figure it out, just go with it! Glad the Trilli is all better and ready for his/her/its(?) next adventure!

What about planets? For instance, if men are from Mars and women from Venus, can we conclude that Mars is masculine and Venus feminine? The mind boggles.
