PART FOUR - THE LONG DRIVE HOME
Sorry dear readers but you will have to put up with me for the next few days as Barry, the primary blogger, is now behind the wheel on our journey home. Since we are trying to get some miles (we are in the States now) under our belt Barry will not be able to blog and upload pictures and create maps and all that fancy stuff when we get into camp so you are stuck with me....for now.
Bay of Fundy here we come! We hit Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy just in time for a picnic lunch and then a little hike down to the beach where we were treated to low tide so we could walk along the ocean floor and see the very cool rock formations that were caused by tidal erosion. Eww ahhh! Basically very pretty, lots of seaweed, rocks and a pretty churned up ocean. Lots of silt in the ol Bay of Fundy. After paying our $24 to see the rocks we drove through Fundy National Park (the park fee was waived because we promised not to stop for any reason-we were to drive straight through). So we did, on a really windy, beat up and partly gravel road and found ourselves in the picturesque village of St. Martins where we heard there were some cool sea caves to explore. We dropped the trailer at a lovely campground right on the beach and went straight up the road to the sea caves. It was low tide so we had access to two sea caves but not super low tide so maybe the even better sea caves were around the cove. I guess we will never know. After some exploring and some rock collecting, we went straight to the beach side restaurant and had our last seafood feast. The setting was gorgeous and we enjoyed our last lobster roll, seafood chowder, and seafood casserole of this trip. We vowed to not eat anything deep fried and by gum we didn’t. We opted for the greek salad instead. Yeah Watermans!!!!!! I know, we avoided the deep fried stuff but I swear everything we ate was made with whipped cream! Luckily, dear readers, my stomach was settled enough to enjoy my chowder (and ice cream). We ended our night hitting a yard sale, picked ourselves up some books and headed back to a cool and foggy east coast evening at our campsite. As we settled in for the night we could hear the distant moan of the lighthouse which was a perfect ending to our time in the Maritimes!

Love shack, baby love shack...
How's everyone holding up after 61 days on the road? Is there gonna be a snap show? Are you coming through the Kootenays on your way west? Are you prepared for the reality that miles are FAR? What's the fastest land animal? Are whales fish?
Wow! Last post,( I think its Donna) inquiring minds want to know...?
Jenny, I'm glad you are alive and blogging madly. Trust you to find a garage sale in the bay of Fundy and find some deals! Lots of people have been asking after you... so in case youre tempted to stay in the east, you are missed here in the Ridge! Have a safe drive and take care! Neets
